Pierce County AIDS Foundation

Yesterday, Monday, Me and another classmate went to The Pierce County AIDS Foundation for our interview. PCAF helps people who have HIV/ AIDS out with their needs. We saw them giving out bags of food and supplies, and offering case management. This is a great foundation because the people who come to get these services really need them. These people have to spend their money on their care for their condition and that leads to not having as much money for food and rent. Also here, they can receive vouchers for clothes and hotels. They also have support groups and counselors. We are going back on Friday to learn all about the foundation and start on our service. They are in between their major things- the Pierce County AIDS Walk and Dining Out for Life. This will be a really rewarding service project.
